As a Regional Environmental Engineer, you will handle environmental compliance at AWS data centers in Oregon. Develop standards and policies for regulatory compliance, perform environmental performance analysis, establish metrics, and guide teams in implementing Amazon environmental standards. Provide guidance and build relationships with internal and external partners including government entities.

Requirements

Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Experience in environmental compliance management for industrial facilities
Proficiency in developing environmental standards and policies
Skills in environmental performance analysis and metrics development
Ability to conduct environmental audits and incident investigations
Familiarity with regulatory reporting to governmental agencies
Experience building relationships with government entities and contractors
Competence in data center environmental compliance programs

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy
Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization
Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees aligns with Amazon standards
Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor, and forecast performance
Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement
Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently
Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies
Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to identify and manage risks early
