Join Savills Central South Planning team in Southampton as an experienced Planning and EIA Consultant at Senior Planner or Associate level. This role targets candidates with Environmental Impact Assessment knowledge. Develop your career in the UK’s largest planning consultancy.

Provide EIA services to diverse clients in the Central South region. Handle projects like Strategic Urban Extensions, new settlements, major industrial developments, retail repurposing, town centre regeneration, urban mixed-use, and rural portfolios. Serve landowners, developers, house builders, and investors.

Central South Planning Team is one of the largest in the region and a market leader. Part of a 300-strong UK planning consultancy covering all sectors. Work from new multi-service office at Mountbatten House, Southampton.

Requirements

  • At least 1+ years post-qualified experience (MRTPI or IEMA Practitioner working towards Chartership, or Chartered)
  • Detailed knowledge of the British Town Planning system
  • Good experience in leading and managing projects
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial
  • Detail conscious and accurate
  • Proactive, efficient, and effective
  • Can work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide EIA consultancy across development projects through EIA Screening, Scoping, and ES Preparation stages with senior support
  • Provide planning and EIA advice, prepare planning applications including Planning Statements, and lead multi-disciplinary consultancy teams
  • Coordinate and quality control specialist consultants’ reports
  • Contribute to and help maintain Savills IEMA EIA Quality Mark
  • Supervise and mentor junior colleagues
  • Contribute towards winning new instructions and servicing existing instructions
  • Develop and manage a network of key contacts within and beyond Savills
