They focus on ensuring the best possible foundations for construction design that improves and protects the environment.

We are recruiting talented and creative Geotechnical students to join our team for a Summer Placement in 2026. You will work on some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide. Projects span sectors including Education, Healthcare, Critical Systems, Industrial, Residential, Highways, Energy and Retail.

Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, you will contribute to desk based research. This includes the design, management and reporting of ground investigations, plus development of ground models and material parameters. You will also assist with geotechnical calculations and analysis.

The Ground Engineering team are an award-winning source of world leading expertise. They bring together technical knowledge in environmental science, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering and engineering geology. Contribute to contaminated land risk assessments and the development of remedial strategies.

Requirements

  • On track to achieve a 2:1 or above
  • Working towards a degree in Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering, or similar
  • Preferably in second or third year of study or between completing an undergraduate degree and commencing a Masters
  • Passion for improving the built environment
  • Interest in design and sustainable design principles

Responsibilities
