Due to an exciting period of growth, join the core Civil Infrastructure Business unit as a Highways Engineer. Work alongside design managers, coordinating with disciplines, establishing relationships, and assisting with design management and delivery. Reporting to the Design Manager, manage selected designs and teams to meet targets.
Manage projects or components, taking responsibility for resource allocation, subcontractors, quality assurance, and client feedback. Collaborate with other design teams and disciplines to ensure overall design integrity. Provide technical advice and review compliance in drawings, reports, specifications, and interfaces.
Promote Arcadis’ services, build industry networks, and contribute to the divisional business plan. Share passion for city-shaping projects, continuous improvement, and best value solutions. Challenge yourself with a forward-thinking attitude in multi-disciplinary environments.
Requirements
- Relevant engineering degree with or progressing to Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation
- Minimum 5+ years experience in providing high-quality delivery of roads and civil related concepts and designs
- Sound understanding and experience working with local design standards including Austroads Guide to Road Design and specifications
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary design teams
- Sound understanding, or desire to progress into design management
- Experience in reviewing designs in 3D software
- Stakeholder management capability through effective communication
- Passion for continuous improvement, quality and improving service for clients
Responsibilities
