Our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation team supports brownfield redevelopment projects and completes environmental site assessments and remediation. Provide environmental services to public and private client sectors across Ontario. Develop and manage long-term operation, maintenance, and monitoring of remedial systems and risk management measures.

This position offers a variety of work across infrastructure and property developments. Involve in Phase I and Phase II site assessments, monitoring, and soil/groundwater management. Coordinate with staff, contractors, and public entities including obtaining permits.
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor of Environmental/Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in the environmental engineering field; experience in a construction setting is an asset
- Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is an asset
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail
- Flexible with project types and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and be highly communicative
- Valid driver's license (MVR check will be performed prior to hire); willingness to undertake field work
Responsibilities
- Prepare project-related technical documents including environmental reports, technical specifications, work plans, cost estimates, and drawings for review
- Conduct field work and oversight for environmental investigations and remediation activities including site investigations, contractor management, drilling, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation, contract administration, and vapour sampling
- Perform environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II), environmental monitoring, and soil/groundwater management in private, public, and federal sectors
- Coordinate and schedule project-related work with GHD staff, external contractors, and public entities including obtaining permits
