You will perform geotechnical analyses and design for dams, embankments, tunnels, and underground caverns. Plan and supervise investigation campaigns to define soil and rock parameters for stability, deformation, seepage, and seismic analyses. Develop designs for excavation support, slope stabilization, and foundation works while providing construction supervision.

Work within a multidisciplinary team that combines comprehensive expertise with local practice for efficient solutions in complex water resource projects. Gain exposure to international assignments and site supervision for demanding infrastructure. Collaborate on feasibility, tender, and detailed design stages for dams and underground works.

Produce geotechnical sections, analytical models, and 3D models to aid design and construction decisions. Prepare design reports, risk assessments, and construction documentation. Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) or related discipline (M.Sc./Dipl.-Ing.; PhD/Dr.-Ing. is an advantage)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in geotechnical analysis, design, and construction supervision of dams, tunnels, and underground caverns
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D analysis software
  • Strong expertise in soil and rock mechanics, foundation engineering, excavation stability, and underground support design
  • Demonstrated experience with numerical and analytical geotechnical modeling, including stability, deformation, and seepage analyses
  • Experience with 3D geotechnical and underground modeling software
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; international project exposure is a plus
  • Willingness to undertake international assignments and extended site supervision missions

Responsibilities

  • Perform geotechnical analyses and design for dams, embankments, tunnels, and underground caverns
  • Plan, supervise, and interpret geotechnical investigation campaigns, defining soil and rock parameters for stability, deformation, seepage, and seismic analyses
  • Develop and review geotechnical designs for excavation support systems, slope stabilization, underground openings, and foundation treatment works
  • Provide geotechnical supervision during construction, including monitoring of excavation, ground behavior, support installation, and grouting works
  • Prepare and review geotechnical design reports, calculation notes, risk assessments, and construction-stage documentation
  • Produce geotechnical sections, analytical models, and 3D models to support design development and construction decision-making
  • Support feasibility, tender, and detailed design stages, as well as site supervision for complex dam and underground works
